Today we celebrate Catechetical Sunday where we commission and bless all the teachers in our school and the catechists in our religious education program as they begin the new school year.
The Confirmation and Jr. High Retreat dates have been scheduled as follows. Please mark your calendars.
- Oct 30, 2022: Confirmation Year 1
- Dec 10-11, 2022: Confirmation Year 2
- Dec 12, 2022: Junior High Retreat
During RE office hours through October 9th, there will be registration for Religious Education, RCIA, and Confirmation Classes. We are adding a Kindergarten class on Thursday and Saturday. On Saturday there will also be a Special Ed class. Please visit our Registration Forms website page to view/print forms, which include information on the required fees/documents that you need to bring for registration.
We also are inviting more volunteers for our different ministries- catechists, aides, office help. Office help activities include making phone calls, traffic control, and restroom chaperones. First time volunteers will need to attend a 3 hour VIRTUS online or in-person, followed by a 2 hour recertification class every 4 years. Please go to our VIRTUS website page for detailed information.

We remember Sister Ann Stephen Stouffer, who had been a Sister of Providence for 61 years and served as a teacher and principal at St. Anthony of Padua School. She passed away on December 9, 2021.

Gomez sent out a letter on June 12, 2021 encouraging the Catholic faithful of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to return to in-person Sunday Mass and the celebration of the Sacraments, especially for those who are in good health.
